5 out of 5 starsA Handy Solution for Builds That Have Run Out of USB 2.0 Headers

This USB 2.0 hub has been a really useful little addition for a custom PC build, especially if you’re running multiple displays or other internal USB 2.0 devices. Instead of trying to cram several devices onto limited motherboard headers, it turns one standard 9-pin header into four outputs, which makes cable management much easier.

I particularly like the compact design. It’s small enough to tuck into a tight space inside the case, and the three-sided magnetic mounting is a great idea. Being able to stick it directly to a steel part of the case without screws or tools makes installation quick and keeps the hub from just floating around with the cables.

The dual power options are also a nice touch. Having both SATA and USB-C power inputs gives you some flexibility depending on the build, and the additional power delivery is useful when you have multiple devices connected. The built-in protection features are another reassuring detail when you’re adding several powered components to a PC.

Performance has been solid for the USB 2.0 devices I’ve connected. The dual-controller design is especially appealing for builds using multiple screens because it’s intended to reduce the bandwidth bottleneck you can run into with simpler hubs.

Installation is basically plug-and-play, with no drivers or complicated setup required. As long as your devices use standard 9-pin USB 2.0 connections, it’s a pretty straightforward way to expand your internal connectivity.

Overall, this is a smart little accessory for anyone building a PC with several internal USB 2.0 devices. It solves a very specific problem, but it solves it neatly: more usable headers, cleaner cable management, flexible mounting, and less fighting with the motherboard when your build starts collecting screens and gadgets like they’re going out of style.
